When Dr Gary Chapman wrote his book The 5 love languages, I can’t imagine he thought decades later his revelations would be breathing life and understanding into millions of relationships. After years of counselling people and researching relationships, he developed these 5 categories. Let me say upfront we all have the capacity to receive all the categories of love, but we all have more dominant ways of expressing and receiving love. Romance your wife Emotionally.
Listen to her when she speaks, and make sure you listen with the intent to hear.
Call or text her during the day to let her know you are thinking of her.
Encourage her in her parenting, and make sure you let the kids know you think she is an amazing mum.
Wink or smile at her across the room.
Ask her on a date.
Pay her compliments often.
Watch her favourite romantic movie.
Laugh and have fun.
Plan and book a surprise getaway.
Think about some of your favourite times when you were dating and plan a similar activity.
Spend time recalling the great times you have shared. Why not pull out photos and make it a real walk down memory lane?
Dream about the future.
Create a playlist of romantic music you know your wife would love, and let her know you made it to show your love for her.

Light Candles with her favourite scent.
Set aside time to be with her.
Love and lead your family.
Let her know you are proud of her and celebrate her wins.
Make her favourite beverage and just give it to her.

Make breakfast
Hold her hands in public.

Go for a walk in her favourite place.
Rub her shoulder and gently touch her as you pass her by.
Give her a massage.
Make time for cuddles.
Make foreplay a game, a slow boil and deep in pleasure. God gave us sex for pleasure, so make the times of intimacy special.
Let her know the clothes you like her wearing and how seeing her in those clothes turns you on.
Spiritually
Pray with and for your wife.
Attend services together.
Find ways you can serve.
Love her as Christ loves the church; Jesus came to serve, love and gave it all for us.
Boldly and humbly be the head of your home.
Romance through giving space
Run a bath and let her have some time to herself
Give her time to spend time with her friends
Send her to a spa to be pampered
Look after yourself
As we get older and life gets busy, our priorities may change, and in the busyness, we forget about ourselves. Sometimes our self-neglect can come from feelings of low self-worth or perceived unattractiveness to our spouse, but we can all be responsible to do our best to look after our sleeves. When you look after yourself, you give not just yourself a precious gift; you also give your wife and family the gift of a strong, healthy man.
